Halfords required an online workshop booking system which allowed customers the facility to book on to in-store workshops. This solution is currently used in over 450 Halfords retail stores across the United Kingdom and has been live for the past 5 years.

The Halfords online booking system receives in excess of 15,000 bookings per month for multiple workshops across different stores.

Workshops can be setup instantly in the admin management panel.

 

Access from all Halfords stores

The appointment solution allows multi user access so that multiple stores and the also the Halfords head office can access concurrently.

Depending on the account type of the user they will have different levels of access and will be limited to the data they can see.

Multiple Workshops

Halfords run many types of workshops throughout the year. An example of these are Kids, Scouts, Women’s, Winter workshop and also a national Schools programme. When the customer accesses the booking system they can select which type of workshop they would like to book and then choose from that particular workshops available dates.

Integration with Google Maps

The booking system is integrated with Google Maps allowing users to enter their address, location or postode and the nearest stores are returned sorted by the closest in terms of mileage.

Users can also get directions to the store and view a map of the surrounding area.

Automated Email Reminders

Each customer who books onto a workshop receives an automated reminder of their booking 48 hours before they are due to attend. This reminder email contains details of the customers upcoming booking and also allows the customer to cancel their booking.

Integrated feedback system

Once a Halfords workshop has taken place an automated email is sent 24 hours after the booking to the customer.

This contains a link which allows the customer to complete a short workshop feedback form.

This allows Halfords to monitor the the response of customers who have attended a workshop and gather their feedback and response.

The feedback form is customisable and the questions can be set for each type of workshop
